The vision of the Institute is to promote the use of information technology in non-profit organisations and to compare their results in order to improve the impact of their actions.
Mission
Develop integrated open source information systems which support activities carried out by social organisations and promote their application in order to improve the internal processes of these organisations.
The Association
IT3S - Instituto de Fomento à Tecnologia do Terceiro Setor (Institute for Promotion of Information Technology for Non-Profit Organisations) is a non-profit organisation. Established on March 20, 2010, its aim is to “promote the development and dissemination of technologies that facilitate the information efficiency within non-profit organisations and thus enhance an evaluation culture, mutual learning between organisations and identification of best practices. In this way, the Institute aims to support other organisations in improving their processes, raising their efficiency and, consequently, increasing the impact their actions have on society” (Acc. Article 2 of the Bylaws).
