Weare looking for volunteers to support IT3S. Participating directly in our office or remotely are both possible, as is being a multiplier, disseminating our tools or supporting the Institute as a full time volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering, please write to contato[at]it3s.org.

Volunteering remotely

As a remote volunteer, you can, for example, take part in the following activities:

  • Creating visual identities for NGOs which use IT3S tools;

  • Testing and comparing of various open source tools which that can be used in working routines of NGOs;

  • Web programming (html, javascript) of graphic interfaces for the tools;

  • Programming of modules for our software in Python/Pylons;

  • Supporting the documentation of the tools created by IT3S and elaboration of manuals for trainings with organisations;

  • Creating of flash demos to be used in workshops with NGOs.

Multipliers

  • Support the institute as a multiplier, configurating and customizing the tools developed by IT3S for NGOs in the region where you live, as well as giving workshops about the functioning of applications.

Exchange

For foreigners, we also offer the possibility to participate as a full time volunteer. The duration of your stay can be between three and twelve months, depending on your experience.

Germans between 18 and 28, can apply for the “weltwärts” programme (more information on the programme here). “Weltwärts” is a programme financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
